ME QUIERO
MORIR

Four people, a pile of ageing synthesizers and a drum machine that only works when it is cold. We make electronic music with an 80s twist — neon basslines, gated snares, and songs you can cry to on a dancefloor.

THE MANIFESTO

Me Quiero Morir started in a rented room in 2019 with a broken Juno clone, a borrowed TR-707 and a shared obsession with the sound of records that were already nostalgic when they came out.

We are not a revival act. We take the grammar of 1983 — the gated snare, the octave bassline, the chorus that arrives four bars too late — and we write about rent, insomnia and love that arrives by text message.

Live, there are no laptops on stage. Four people, hardware, and a light rig that has been described by one promoter as “a fire hazard with a good attitude”.
